Drive south from Brigham City through Perry and Willard to find roadside stands selling local and imported fruit and vegetables. Some stands remain open year-round, but most open up once the local fruit trees and vegetable crops start producing. The season begins with cherries and continues through Halloween pumpkins. Enjoy the scenery of blossom-filled trees in the spring or jumbles of sweet corn and squash in the stands later in the summer along this highway. While you’re there, take a look at some of the old stone and frame homes dating from the late 19th century, and see if you can spot any remaining evidence of the devastating flood that hit Willard in the 1920s, bringing silt down the canyon to cover roads, pathways, and main floor living areas.
