Fire & Ice Winterfest

Skijoring the Bear
Skijoring is a sport where a person on skis is pulled behind a horse, and a competition is held every year in Garden City, Utah. Come watch horses pull skiers around gates and over jumps!

Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous
The Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous is usually held the first weekend of March, at the Cache County Event Center in Logan, Utah. A reunion of Cowboy poets, musicians and artisans with featured artists and poets, a Saturday night dance, and a Sunday Cowboy Church, this is an event you don’t want to miss!

Baby Animal Days at the American West Heritage Center
Baby Animal Days is held at the American West Heritage Center every April. The festival highlights the coming of Spring and the baby animals of all kinds that come with it. There are also train rides, pony rides, wagon rides, and more! This is a perfect activity for the whole family.
Cache Valley Mountain Man Rendezvous

May Day Celebration
Held on the first Saturday in May in Mendon, Utah, the May Day Celebration is a community spring celebration. This tradition has been celebrated going back to 1863 and celebrates springtime. It features may poles and the crowning of a May Queen!
Richmond Black & White Days
Held every May, Black & White Days in Richmond, Utah, is a century old festival focusing on highlighting the dairy industry. The week long celebration hosts the Western Spring National Holstein Show, and includes other events like horse pulls, Highlander games, a parade, and more!
Smithfield Health Days

Chesterfield Memorial Day Celebration
The Chesterfield Townsite is an old rural village frozen in time near Bancroft, Idaho. A Memorial Day celebration kicks off the beginning of their visitor’s season. There is a marathon, auction, craft fair, blacksmith shop, pioneer games, tours, and a dance.

Franklin Idaho Days

Marsh Valley Pioneer Days Rodeo
This rodeo in McCammon, Idaho, features popular events like mutton busting, bareback riding, novice bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping and bull riding. There is also a parade and craft fair.
August
Providence Sauerkraut Days
Held in August, this town’s German roots are reflected in this celebration featuring a week of events. This includes a dinner of homemade sauerkraut and all the trimmings, a parade, entertainment, and games in the park.
Trout and Berry Days
This festival celebrates the agricultural heritage of Paradise, Utah, for its trout farming and berry growing. It is always held the weekend before Labor Day and includes a rodeo, trout dinner, pie eating contest, and other fun activities.
Bear Lake Raspberry Days
Held in Garden City, Utah, early August, this event celebrates the harvesting of raspberries in Bear Lake. During the 3-day festival there is a parade, pie eating contest, vendors, and live concerts.

Wellsville Founders’ Day
This event held in Wellsville, Utah, commemorates the settling of the first white community in Cache Valley in the 1850s. It includes a parade, barbecue, baseball tournament, 5K and 10K races, “buckaroo” rodeo, and a patriotic musical program.
Peach Days
Established in 1904, this is one of the oldest harvest festivals still going, and it celebrates the products of Utah’s famous Fruit Way. It features a parade, a carnival, fruit displays, entertainment, dancing, a craft fair, and a Dutch oven cook-off featuring peaches. Grab a bowl of fresh peach cobbler and you’ll think you’re in heaven!
Cache Valley Cheese & Dairy Festival
Held every year at the Cache County Event Center, the Cache Valley Cheese & Dairy Festival features free samples, live entertainment, and agricultural demonstrations. This free event allows you to learn about the local farms and businesses that make Cache Valley the Dairy Capital of the West.

Fall Harvest Festival at the American West Heritage Center
An annual occurrence in Wellsville, Utah, the American West Heritage Center’s historic Fall Harvest Festival is an event for the entire family. This festival includes a corn maze, train rides, candle making, and more!
North Logan Pumpkin Walk

Trailing of the Sheep
The “Trailing of the Sheep” is an over 80-year-old event with Eph Jensen Livestock as they move their sheep herd from their summer range to their winter range in Bear River City. Roads are closed to make way for the sheep, and you can follow along to see this massive migration

Handmade Christmas Market at Box Elder County Fairgrounds
This market showcases the best of the best of the local artisan community! They offer door prizes to the first several people who arrive in addition to multiple food trucks and over 70 vendors to shop from!
Winter Steam Festival
The Winter Steam Festival at Golden Spike National Historical Park features multiple locomotive demonstrations and special exhibits as well as rides on handcars. The winter weather allows visitors to better see the thick steam from the historic locomotives.
