“It’s been fun, girls. Carry on…” These were among the last words Utah quilter Millie Olmstead spoke to her nieces before passing away at the age of eighty-nine. Quilting is an important and widespread handcraft in the region of northern Utah and southeastern Idaho. This book provides a brief look at some of the quilters of the Bear River Heritage Area, a region covering Bear Lake, Caribou, Franklin, and Oneida counties in Idaho; and Box Elder, Cache, and Rich counties in Utah. The quilters and their work give us a glimpse into historical and contemporary quilting practices in the region.
